Introduced in 1986, the SG ‘62 Reissue was Gibson’s first ever reissue of an SG model. Compared to the 1986-1991 SG Standard, the SG-62 had a slimmer neck, a more historically accurate pickguard, deeper beveling (particularly in the cutaways), the neck set at the 22nd fret with a ’61 style heel joint, the traditional control layout, nickel plated hardware and an ABR-1 bridge.
Condition: Well-used, with the finish worn through in a couple of places and scratches, but purely cosmetic.
Body: Solid honduran mahogany with angled heel. Black 5-ply pickguard and all original hardware.
Neck: Set 3-piece mahogany, slim taper profile. Bound rosewood fretboard with mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays, 12″ radius. 22 frets, 24.75″ scale.
Electronics: Original Tim Shaw humbucker pickups. 2x volume knobs, 2x tone knobs, 3-way selector switch.
Ships in original case.
Photos count as description. All sales final due to vintage condition. No returns whatsoever. Please ask any questions, they will be answered thoroughly.
